International Maritime Academy Bozic is the first international maritime school in the Republic of Croatia founded in Split. Within the Academy there is a department that offers professional guidance to the participants and takes care of the possibilities for their employment. We offer theoretical education in modern equipped classrooms and practical education in the most modern simulator instruction room.

INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTANT

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

The program is designed in a way that attendants are trained to effectively manage all business books using computer accounting software and to prepare all financial statements, from annual financial reports to reports for tax administration and other relevant institutions. By this, the attendant acquires the ability to independently decide and select the most favorable alternatives of accounting policies in initial and subsequent recognition and measurement of the financial position and financial performance of the company.

The program has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, which has been prepared according to the recommendations of the European Union’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
Upon completion of the program, the trainee is issued a certificate of training, a public document prescribed by the law of the Republic of Croatia, with registration in the e-work booklet.

Teaching is conducted on a consultative basis.

A person who is 18 years old can enroll in the training program for independent accountant with:
– a completed four-year secondary school for an economist or a commercialist
– completed any four-year secondary school and at least two years of work experience in bookkeeping and related affairs, which is proved by the employer’s certificate and with previous qualification check (knowledge test).
