Lifelong Learning Center Bozic is the first international maritime school in the Republic of Croatia. Due to the exceptional interest of the students in education in the field of beauty and health, and later employment on luxury passenger ships as hotel staff, we have launched Lifelong Learning Center Bozic „Beauty Academy“. The training programs offered by „Beauty Academy“ are diverse and students can choose the desired profession among wellness therapists, wellness managers, masseurs, beauticians, makeup artists, manicure and caregiver jobs. Available courses also include: nail placement and molding, permanent varnish, acrylic techniques, waxing, maderotherapy, eyelash mounting, waxing, permanent make up and more.

The aforementioned training programs have been verified by the competent Ministry and are conducted in Croatian and English language. The programs have been designed according to the new methodology of curriculum development following the guidelines of EU education policy and are fully aligned with the needs of the labor market. Upon completion of the program, students receive a certificate that goes into the e- employment records. Within the school, there is a department for professional counseling for students who, upon successful completion of the program, have the opportunity to take a job on a passenger ship and pursue exactly the profession for which they have been educated.

“The practice shows that adults who intend to enroll in one of the programs of lifelong learning regularly enquire about the quality of the institution. The quality of the institution implies a number of factors that can be sorted into two groups: organizational (material) and educational. It is the Lifelong Learning Center Bozic that places special emphasis on the satisfaction of the students with the quality of organizational and teaching conditions, so within the “Beauty Academy” practicum, which extends over 200m2, we offer, in addition to modern educational equipment, three separate bathrooms with showers to freshen up after practical classes, a relaxation corner serving tea with natural flavourings, fresh fruits and healthy dried snacks. T-shirts and towels for practical instructions  are also provided. The lecturers are eminent experts with world references and work experience. For all students of Beauty Academy’s programs we provide additional classes of professional English as well as a membership card with discounts for enrollment in other programs offered by our school. We certainly offer the best organizational and teaching conditions for the implementation of the educational process in this part of Europe, which has been a major mission for us ever since we started working. ”, says professional adult education manager Ivo Perković.

In addition to the maritime education programs and the Beauty Academy programs, our school as the  Lifelong Learning Center offers over 150 educational programs in various professions. We give special attention to the education of children, so we have developed an international children’s music workshop, a foreign languages school for preschoolers and elementary school pupils, and a drama and storytelling studio “Ricporic.”

“We are delighted that in the third year of the institution’s existence, we have more than 1,000 enrolled students in various formal and informal types of programs. We are especially proud of the International Maritime School for maritime navigators and marine engineering technicians, in which we have over 30 students from Australia, Italy, Hungary and other countries. “Beauty Academy” is something new on the offer and we admit students in two enrollment periods. We recommend that everyone, before deciding to go away to work to Germany, Ireland and other countries, first considers whether it would be good to get a job on a passenger ship. In addition to offering a career aboard luxury cruise ships, traveling to the world’s largest ports, it offers good pay and entertainment. Employment does not necessarily imply ocean-going ships, it can be aboard a river ship for those who do not like the sea. Going on a ship means returning home, while every departure to a foreign country puts your returning home in question. Employment on ships ensures good pay, workplace, contracts are short, salaries are permanent (pension and health care benefits are paid), with yet 4-6 months of annual leave.
