PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
Farmers engaged in dairy farming a nd cheesemaking should acquire professional competencies in the basics of dairy farming, production and marketing of milk and cheese, as well as for the purpose of starting a family farm. Cheesemaker is one of the shortage occupations, as evident from the public tenders of the Croatian Employment Service to train unemployed personsfor jobs in this profession.
The program has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, which has been prepared according to the recommendations of the European Union’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency(EACEA).
Upon completion of the program, the trainee is issued a certificate of training, a public document prescribed by the law of the Republic of Croatia, with registration in the e-work booklet.
Competencies acquired by students:
1.Distinguish between procedures in milk preparation, milk processing and cheese and other dairy products production
2.Perform appropriate procedures in milk preparation, milk processing and cheese and other dairy products production safely
3.Use the tools, machines and tools for the dairy business in a proper and safe manner
4.Maintain hygiene of accessories and space for milk processing and production of dairy products
5.Recognize and control imperfections of milk and cheese
6.Plan the cost and marketing of dairy products
7.Apply safety at work rules.
